Our team story

Crossgates Primrose 2017s have grown from a small group of children at their first training session in April 2023 into a 20-player squad that now plays 7-a-side football, three years on. The first competitive game was a Fun 4s fixture on 14 May 2023, and most of those original players are still involved today.

The team trains at the Pitreavie Sport & Football Centre, and players regularly attend football festivals and end-of-season awards. Chris Hamilton from Dunfermline Athletic came along to Pitreavie at the end of the 5s season to meet the team and hand out medals.

The squad is now split into two age-group teams — Blues (T1) and Yellows (T2) — coached together by Adam Sneddon, Neal Duffy and Paul Wilson. With a 20-strong group, every player gets plenty of game time.
